We have had another busy week, so glad we spent Saturday hiking and chilling out. On Monday, we started our 'First Day' and we were nervous like a kid would be. We got our classrooms set up and we have started Roaming with 4 students. The adjustment has been interesting, but everyday seems to get better. Our teaching spaces are great and the kids seem eager to learn. Today, we got our "Course Packet" that was not too thin and enough professional books to keep us busy for a while. We are thankful for this week to get settled in our schools before the studying begins. We look forward to a restful weekend to gear up for our first university class on Tuesday. We welcome any comments and encouragements that will help us not be so homesick. We hope everyone is doing well without us :)

  1. It's a little hard to make you feel less homesick when I miss you this much. Everybody at school misses you, too. But I would much rather miss you than have you missing out. I was trying to explain what you were doing to my mom (we were talking about you because I was steadfastedly blaming you for why I say hell now) and I told her you were learning to play tennis from Roger Federer. Which is so cool! Of course, it's a little terrifying because if you've won every tennis game you've every played in your life, you still know you have a lot to learn from Roger Federer...but once you're done, you'll be brilliant. Which you will be. (Both of you)

  2. Hi ladies! Okay, which one of you was smart enough to set up the blog? I love the colors and formatting - very professional.

We don't know the people you're mentioning - are these some of the "superstar" teacher leaders that you'd looked forward to working with? Papa wants you to tell us who's who.

This is such an exciting time for each of you. Stay safe.

    Papa and June
